About Us

A brief biography of the Christian Psychological Center

Christian Psychological Center was established in 1977 based on the vision of the ministerial staff and lay leadership of  Second Presbyterian Church to provide quality psychological care within a Christian context. The Center was established as a not-for-profit organization and is guided by a board of directors.

The Center began with a staff of two licensed psychologists and has grown significantly since 1977. Our professional staff of eleven includes psychologists, an educational specialist,  licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors.

The term "Christian" in our name declares that we espouse a common belief structure with the Christian community. We are committed to integrating, when appropriate, our Christian faith with our clinical practice.

"Psychological Center" describes our desire to offer a full-range of psychological services including individual, group, marital, and family therapy.

In addition, we offer a wide range of assessment, career, and educational services for children, adolescents, and adults.
