Marlo Carney Zarzaur, ED.D., LPC-MHSP

Marlo Carney Zarzaur is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Doctorate in Counseling at the University of Memphis. The focus of her practice is treating children, adolescents and young adults ages 3-25.  Her professional experience includes working as an Elementary School Counselor in Catholic Schools for 14 years in both Memphis, TN and in Chapel Hill, NC.  Dr. Zarzaur is licensed and nationally certified as a mental health counselor, a school counselor and an elementary school teacher.  In her practice, Dr. Zarzaur utilizes Play Therapy, mixing evidence-based strategies with hands-on interventions that draw from a developmentally appropriate use of toys, art, games and imaginitive play.  Her therapeutic specialities include treating anxiety, ADHD, grief, behavioral issues and school related issues.
