Attention Deficit Evaluation and Support

One out of every twenty people suffers from Attention Deficit or ADHD. However, not all cases of problems with concentration or distractibility are caused by ADD/ADHD. ADD/ADHD is a specific neurological malfunction that children are born with. Other causes of difficulty concentrating may be excessive amounts of stress, other psychological conditions or a lack of mastery of concentration skills. Successful treatment requires accurate identification of the reason a child is struggling with difficulty maintaining attention. At CPC we have developed an extensive battery of testing based on current psychological research of ADD/ADHD in order to successfully identify the cause of a child’s attention problems.

Furthermore, typical parenting strategies that work with children do not work as well with kids with ADD/ADHD. CPC offers instruction and support with parenting strategies that have been proven to increase success in parenting these unique kids.
